Aftercare
At Level 7, results are built over time through structured treatment courses. Each session creates controlled skin stimulation, followed by a healing and remodelling phase.
Aftercare is a critical part of this process. It supports recovery, reduces inflammation, and ensures optimal treatment outcomes across your journey.
Keep the area clean, cool and untouched. Small bumps, redness, tenderness, swelling and bruising can be normal. Do not massage the product. Contact us if symptoms are worsening rather than settling, and seek emergency help for any change in vision or severe allergic symptoms.
Under Eye Polynucleotide
What is normal
Following treatment, the skin is in a heightened state of activity and sensitivity.
You may experience:
Redness and warmth (similar to mild sun exposure)
Tightness or dryness
Mild swelling
Increased skin sensitivity
This is a normal physiological response to controlled micro-injury and regeneration.
For the first 6–12 hours
Do not touch, rub, press or massage the treated area.
Leave the skin clean and avoid makeup or skincare unless your practitioner has applied or specifically recommended it.
Avoid washing the area immediately. Once advised, cleanse gently with clean hands, lukewarm water and a mild cleanser; pat rather than rub.
If you need a cool compress, use a clean cool pack wrapped in a soft cloth for short intervals. Never place ice directly on the skin and do not apply pressure.
For the first 24–48 hours
Avoid strenuous exercise, hot yoga and anything that makes you very hot or flushed.
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, very hot baths/showers and prolonged direct sun.
Avoid swimming and activities that expose the injection points to bacteria.
Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours, and consider keeping salty foods moderate if you are prone to under-eye puffiness.
Avoid facial massage, gua sha, rollers, tight eye masks and sleeping face-down.
If comfortable, sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated for the first one or two nights.
Do not take aspirin or anti-inflammatory medicines solely for bruising unless medically advised. Never stop prescribed medication without speaking to the prescriber.
Skincare and makeup
Avoid makeup on the treated area for 24 hours, and longer if injection points remain open, irritated or weeping.
Use a simple, gentle cleanser and bland hydrating moisturiser once the skin has settled enough to apply products comfortably.
Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs, strong vitamin C, fragranced products and active eye creams for around 5–7 days, or until the area is completely calm.
Use broad-spectrum SPF 30–50 daily. Apply gently without rubbing the under-eye area.
Treatments and appointments
Do not arrange a peel, microneedling, laser/IPL, radiofrequency, ultrasound, facial massage, injectable or other procedure over or close to the treated area until it has completely recovered and your practitioner has confirmed suitable timing. A simple fixed interval does not replace assessment; treatment depth, intensity and your healing response matter.
Your review and results
Do not judge the treatment while swelling or bruising is present. Polynucleotides are intended to support gradual change rather than immediate volume. Results vary, may be subtle and may require a course. Please attend the agreed review so we can assess your response before deciding on further treatment.
